Seneca Communications provides high-speed data transmission services that make using the Internet a wonderful experience. To insure that you have the experience you desire there are some basic system requirements that you must have
Minimum System Requirements
Seneca is a pure Ethernet connection. Each computer must be equipped with a 10Base T card and connection. There is no problem with a 10/100 Base T card either.
Each office must be equipped with wall plug capable of using a 10 Base T connection. If you have been using only a dial-up modem you will need to install new cabling and plugs, Seneca can provide this new cabling (see ancillary services pricing sheet)
You need a proxy server to provide firewall security. Since Seneca provides you with an "open pipe" to the Internet you have connectivity 24/7/365. It is imperative that you protect yourself and your files from invasion from the outside. Seneca can provide this type of protection for you. The cost of these servers varies depending on your needs. Our networking department can help you determine which is best for you. The cost for this service will vary as well.
Basic Installation
Basic installation is bringing a single Cat5 Ethernet connection to your server. The cost of the basic installation is based on the initial length of your contract.
Seneca provides a basic installation with each new client. Our goal is to make the transition to Seneca as seamless as possible. There are situations where additional services are requested. Below you will find those services Seneca can provide and their appropriate costs.
Cabling
Seneca Communications would be happy to provide you with cabling services. We would run cable from the server room to any location within your office that you wish. Included in the cabling is connectors and wall plugs for each office.
Cost: For the first 10 runs - $250 per cable "pull"
For above 10 runs- $200 per cable "pull"
Networking Consultation
If you currently have a network and a company providing consultation services Seneca is happy to assist in the transition to our system. We will provide up to two hours of free consultation with your networking company. After the two hours there will be a charge of $75 per hour
If you currently have a network and an in house IT department Seneca is happy to assist in the transition to our system. We will provide up to Three hours of free consultation with your IT department. After the three hours there will be a charge of $125 per hour
If you do not currently have a network and a company providing consultation services Seneca is happy to assist in the establishment of your network and the transition to our system. We will assist in establishing your network at the cost of $200 per hour. (Hardware, cabling and other services will be charged separately)
Internet Security Application Management
Seneca Communications is able to provide you with the best hardware solution to your Internet security needs. Based upon those needs our certified network specialists will recommend a solution designed specifically for you. The cost of the hardware and software applications will be determined at the time of assessment.
Once we have in stalled the security applications we can provide maintenance for you in several ways:
Basic service - Seneca's technicians will diagnose and service the equipment, installed by us. Response time will be within 48 hours (business days)
Cost for the basic service is $125 per hour
Silver service - Seneca's technicians will diagnose and service the equipment, installed by us. Response time will be within 24 hours (business days)
Cost for the Silver service is $150 per mo
Gold service - Seneca's technicians will diagnose and service the equipment, installed by us. Coverage is 24/7/365. Response time will be within 24 hours
Cost for the Gold service is $300 per mo
